Because of unprecedented demand at GoHealth’s Marketplace, HealthCare.gov and the government’s Marketplace Call Center, the deadline to sign up for January 1st coverage has been extended to 11:59 p.m. PST on December 17th, 2015.
For all of our agents using the GoHealth Marketplace, we are operating as usual and will honor requests for January 1st, 2016 effective dates of coverage through the deadline extension.
Hundreds of thousands have already selected plans over the last few days, and approximately 1 million consumers and their agents have left contact information to hold a place in line. The government is acting to make sure everyone who wants it has access to affordable coverage. This additional 48 hours gives all consumers a chance to come back and complete an enrollment for coverage starting January 1st, 2016.
If a consumer enrolls in a health insurance plan through the GoHealth Marketplace, HealthCare.gov or the government’s Marketplace Call Center by 11:59 p.m. December 17th Pacific Standard Time, coverage will start January 1st, 2016.
